A Home Reborn; James 1:27
In December 2024, Anita Ilunga Ministries took a journey that touched hearts and changed lives forever. Our team visited an orphanage in Lubumbashi, Democratic Republic of Congo, where dozens of children were living in heartbreaking conditions fragile walls, broken beds, and barely enough space to call home.
When we arrived, the sight of those precious children stirred something deep within us. Their smiles carried both innocence and pain a longing for warmth, safety, and love. It was clear that something had to be done. And so, with faith in our hearts and the unwavering support of our partners and friends of the ministry, we decided to take action. Anita Ilunga Ministries committed to help rebuild not just the premises, but the hope within those walls.
Together, we began transforming the orphanage into a place of comfort and dignity. Proper facilities were built sturdy rooms to protect the children from the rain, safe spaces where they could play, learn, and rest. With the generous help of our partners, we were also able to purchase new beds for the children.
It was more than a building project it was a moment of hope blooming again and smiles replacing.
“Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress…” – James 1:27 (NLT)
At Anita Ilunga Ministries, we believe that every act of kindness, no matter how small, is a good seed sown into eternity.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who partnered with us on this journey. Because of your generosity, these children now have more than just a roof over their heads they have a home filled with love and hope for the future.
